1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven? (This info is needed so we can process your application - and if you have a preferred nickname you may add it in parenthesis: e.g. Moonböw (Moon) or Stargazer (Eric)
Imoralis, lvl 82 affliction lock. I'm torn between this character and my shadow priest, Fallensky, currently lvl 80 though.
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
I'm from Germany, so my time zone is CET (currently CEST). I'm usually on late afternoon/ early evening. If there's a social event or dungeon/ raid going on, I don't really have a "finish time" (as long as I'm still fit for work the next day).
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
A friend back then got me into the game. I remember it very clearly. It was over 15 years ago during vanilla. I had never heard about these kinds of games before. To be frank, my PC gaming experience had been reduced to Tetris and Pacman . My pally died almost instantly and it took me 3 (!) whole days to find her corpse and rez. Safe to say, I've evolved since then. I used to raid with the last guild I was in up to TOGC, but left when HC raiders "destroyed" what used to be a lovely social guild. The pressure became too much. This game has always been about people for me, not about loot or gs... and this is what I want to go back to. Oh, I used to be an avid PvP player as well... way too many Field Marshals, Commanders etc... No idea, how I managed to do that while still holding down a job.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic WotLK? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
WotLK classic has always been my most favourite expansion. I love questing and levelling (including my professions) or simply exploring. I think I've been in every single accessible building in Stormwind so far. I'm a social worker/therapist irl, so I'm talking to ppl all day... And I might need some winding down time when I log in. I'm also rather shy, but once I've warmed up to people I love to engage in some witty guild banter. Always loved dungeons and casual raiding in a relaxed environment fueled by mutual respect and the wish to progress together. Not a fan of solo achievements.
5. What are your goals in Classic WotLK, and what do you look forward to the most?
I'll expand this to Cata now, since it just happened. I'd love to find a new WoW home. I used to be in a very lovely community and hope to find it again. A safe place where I can connect with other equally weird (in a good way!) and good-natured people. I would love the casual dungeon and raid experience, but it's not on top of my priority list.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
Gosh, this is gonna sound so cheesy, but reading your description almost made me cry. It's what drew me into the game in the first place (I'm still in touch with people I used to play with on a US server 15 years ago) and what I miss terribly. When I look at LFG, I get really anxious, cause it's all about gs and logs and whatnot. I'm the one who always passed on fancy mounts that dropped cause I didn't care, and I thought it should go to someone who's actually excited about it. I'm someone who traded raid loot to another player of the same class, if I inspected their gear and it was a bigger upgrade for them. Also, I've been through really rough times in this game due to inappropriate behaviour of other gamers. I love that you take a very clear stance against this. This could be my new comfy place.
7. What qualities do you have to offer, and what do you expect of your guild?
See above . I'm a huge carebear and I always drop what I'm doing, if someone asks for help... be it answering questions or flying from Icecrown to Elwynn Forrest to help kill Hogger or Princess. I have a wicked sense of humour and I am tactful, yet straight-forward. I don't like mindgames and you will always get an honest opinion from me clad in kind words. What do I expect of my guild? I expect to be a person, not just a role or number.
8. Where did you hear of us?
I googled "alliance social guild recruitment Pyrewood Village" which led me to the Blizz forums which eventually led me to your website.
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
Not to my knowledge, no.
10. Is there anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
No, thank you. Can I just say I love your "old school" way of recruitment? It filters out those who really want to be part of your community. And it makes me feel 15 years younger. Good old times! Take care all and thank you very much for your time and patience reading this application.
