1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven?
Fluorous - Priest - (66+) my original classic char. Planning to be a healer at max level but loving shadow as well
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
This varies, at the moment I'm only working part time from home so probably online quite a bit.
Typically it'd be some weekday evenings 8-11/12pm Server Time or so, weekends can be more full on or nothing depending on IRL
When I work however I can have 12-13+ hour days, may be abroad for a few weeks etc. so can't play at all/play only very little etc.
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I've been playing since vanilla launch, first on US servers then just before BC release re-rolled on EU. Started raiding properly at the end of MoP, with some tiers missed in WoD and Bfa.
Currently also playing retail and in an active guild there too - hope that's not an issue?
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic WotLK? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
It's a mix of the oldschool feel of classes, talents and abilities and the community. People talking in the open world while levelling, the random friendly encounters doing elite quests that have totally disappeared from retail. I love that is still around in the classic scene.
In the classic iterations of WoW my favourite thing is levelling and trying out different classes, but also the classic re-release gave me an opportunity to try out some of the end game content I missed when it was current.
Unfortunately the "meta" made me quit classic at the start of BC, started again during the launch of wotlk but struggled to find a friendly community that wasn't into the meta/speed levelling etc etc. on top of the fact i was quite busy with work at the time so couldn't put in the time i'd have wanted to at launch, I felt it's better if I step away from it and re-visit this later, which turned out to be now. I feel with the catch up gear in place and ICC tier on the horizon, it's a nice time to come back and check this out again
I quite like to do my own thing - solo levelling is probably my main thing in classic, but this is an MMO and it's just much nicer to do with other people. Have some banter on guildchat etc. I love a good dungeon run in the evenings or weekend afternoons where we wipe a few times to some completely basic mechanic and laugh about it! Some of these wotlk dungeons i've not done in a very long time so i'm rather nervous getting into them alone with a pug!
I'm quite shy at first, have to get comfortable to open up a little in a new community.
5. What are your goals in Classic WotLK, and what do you look forward to the most?
I have levelled a ton of toons back in the day and even now in retail, so I've decided to "start fresh" and rolled a paladin - a class I've not ever created till MoP I think so I get a new-ish feel for it. My current goal at the moment is to see how far I can level it and hopefully try out some of the wotlk dungeons and see where to go from there. Small steps.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
When I found you guys' post on the wow forums (on a never know let's click on here basis) and read it - it was basically describing the sort of community I would love to be a part of, where I can level at the pace I want to, what I want to, in the spec I want to and still be invited to events and groups. Nighthaven seems to value the community and people behind the screens more than the pixels, specs and tier lists in the game, which sounds like that oldschool feel of the game and the why I fell in love with it all those years ago - just playing the game with a bunch of friends
7. What qualities do you have to offer, and what do you expect of your guild?
Profound sense of sarcastic humour. And weirdness.
May stand in fire and misclick to the wrong ability at crucial times. But will try and remedy the situation by running away.
I can make my own mouseover macros for healing!
I'm looking for an accepting community to call home in classic with no/little obligations or requirements of how and when I play the game
8. Where did you hear of us?
The official wow forums
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
No
10. Is there anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
I think I've put everything I've got under the questions above, but let me know if you have any questions
