1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven?
Willkz, level 75 Paladin (although would possibly consider levelling an alt once settled, if accepted)
2. What hours do you typically play? I am returning to Wow, from the UK so GMT. My availability would be from 17:00-23:00 Weekdays and open on weekends. As for typical hours of play generally 18:00-22:00.
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? I've played since the original classic. I was introduced to the game by my irl friends and it had a massive impact during my late teens and twenties. I was brought into a guild on Darkspear that would quickly become server 1st it was an exciting yet overwhelming experience which i look back on with fond memories. This would continue with TBC. Wotlk seemed to be the turning point where my friends stopped playing and guilds were disbanding around me at the time. I stopped just before ICC came out. I would continue to buy the expansions and do the initial levelling, but i found it difficult to find a home to play, or long lasting connections. That's when i came across multiple reroll projects that would lock xp at 60,70 etc and had an absolute blast. I then realised towards late twenties that i was putting too much time into the game and began long gaps in playing.
It was at this point that i would gradually be pulled back into the game, but i felt even more disconnected with the game. I was made really aware of how toxic pugs can be, and i found myself losing alot of confidence in my ability, and for a game i have played for so many years with confidence, i really became conflicted i guess. Something that means so much has really affected my enjoyment in the game. Every now and then i have searched through recruitment to find the guild that advertises the support and community over which bosses they have cleared. and this is what led me to you.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic WotLK?
For me Wotlk brings back alot of nostalgia and good memories. The questing, zone ambience for me was incredible. I think as i've grown older and a tad wiser maybe, i've learnt more about myself and also what i look for in a game. For me being part of something, a guild/ community, to be able to help others and build towards something is important and wow is like no other game i play. I think with my dent in confidence i can be quite shy and it might take my time to settle abit, over the last few years i seemed to have got more socially anxious if just being honest, it's something i am working on
In terms of leveling etc i guess i can do both - i started wotlk doing all quests in the first 2 zones and i intend to keep clearing the zones as i go! I like the idea of doing raids and dungeons but as hinted my confidence needs work and and environment to do that i guess is really important for me. I can be quite quiet, but certainly would like to be involved in more group stuff, might just need to work on my confidence. Sorry if i'm beginning to sound like a broken record.
5. What are your goals in Classic WotLK, and what do you look forward to the most?
To have fun, to not feel like im letting others down and just feel like im part of a group/ team. I'm really keen to help others if i can, and makes us a big part of what i use to enjoy playing wow.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? I have been browsing recruitment posts for the last few years, from my experience its very rare that you see posts which set out goals about enviroment and respect compared to how many bosses they've cleared. I guess i'm continuing on my search to find that community i can call home? (really sorry if this is sounding cheesy, but its getting late on a friday )
7. What qualities do you have to offer, and what do you expect of your guild?
I would like to think i'm quite friendly, supportive and willing to help others. I have played most classes although i'm not someone who has been able to max out my performance and personally not trying to promote that, i just want to have fun with like minded players.
In terms of what i would expect, players who enjoy the game, non-toxic, interested in being part of something and helping others.
8. Where did you hear of us? I checked recruitment posts via Wow forums
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
No, briefly whispered Ohshi in game who was really nice.
10. Is there anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
Erm, sorry if i've waffled through this application. By all means reach out to me either in game or through here if you have any questions you would like to ask or something i might've missed which you need, and thanks for your time in reading.
