Dear Sanctuary,
I hereby submit my application for your review, I hope you find it worthy of acceptance.
Likewise I hope that you'll forgive me for changing the order of the questions, I found it gave a better understanding with this order.
What is your character name (in-game) and what class do you play?
Hopefully I'll get the name Kaerion, time will tell I plan on making a Paladin, I remember them as being a fun class with many options and a good set of survivability skills. What hours do you typically play (cite time zone as well.)?
I will be able to play on half the week days in between 19:00 and 23:00, I have to get up early in the workdays. In the weekends from 19:00 to slumber clocks me out
I'm at CEST +1.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft (how long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc?)
I started out back in the beta, 2005 or 2006? After that I was hooked, and kept playing until reality caught up with me, new job, new girlfriend and I became a father .. come to think of it, I actually lost interest when Blizzard made Mists of Pandaria, I thought it was pandering to the Asian customers, and ended my subscription, so I stopped in 2012?
Since then I have had other priorities, I've returned a bit for Warlords of Draenor and Legion, but on a very casual level.
Back in the early days I was member of mainly raid guilds, and I've spent uncountable hours looking at a raidboss, hoping that we would be victorious this time, and waiting for the 'GO!' from the raid-leader. But I also remember that I managed to get a screenshot of every single rare-spawn in vanilla, a bit OCD, but still I had great fun looking for them all I'm looking forward to repeating that task
During Warlords of Draenor I was recommended to try the quests in Pandaria, and I gave it a go. I must admit that I was astounded by the details and stories told by the questchains. I really enjoyed it, so much that I ran through all zones on two different characters
I haven't had much experience with roleplaying, I've created a few charaters on some servers during my time, and mostly found that the players were more mature, had better manners and were more friendly that on non RP-servers. But I never found it in me to do actual roleplaying.
Where did you hear of us?
Back in the early days of WoW I had the pleasure of being guilded with Alunaria, we talked a bit, and found that we had a lot in common, and formed a friendship. A friendship that have stood the test of time, and recently Alunaria told me that Blizzard were starting Vanilla servers in August, and that there would be this fantastic guild, which I should apply to, so that we could have fun in Azeroth again
Do you know any current or former member of Sanctuary (if so please cite the person)?
Alunaria (see above)
I'm no longer a 24-7 gamer, times have changed. I'm looking forward to returning to my dear past WoW, and I would very much like to do so with a group of like-minded people. People who values quality over progression and who understands fully that we are not all able to live fully in Azeroth (Though we may very well wish we could)
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
Tough one ... I have a good memory of the early game, for some reason I can still remember where to find Black Lotus in Winterspring, where I was when I reach lvl 60 on my first character (Outskirts of Andorhal). I remember where all the quests for Deadmines are located and so on ... but I can't remember what happened last Monday, memory is a funny thing
I'm always willing to lend a hand, if I'm able to - but not in farming pages in Stranglethorn! Sorry you are on your own, I've wasted a lifetime killing predators down there, praying to RNG that a certain page would drop.
I'm loyal, meaning that I'll stick by my fellow guildmembers, even in the face of hopelessness - again no trip to Stranglethorn, that quest is the pinnacle of hopelessness.
I expect Sanctuary to be a guild of mature people, who enjoy the game and who values have a ... yes, a sanctuary away from the everyday grind of real-life.
Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
So many things to write, and so little time
Basicly I'm a old-school WoW-player who values the raw simplicity of the early game.
I value that the game is not catering to you, and handing out epic gear for crossing the road.
I value that the game is hard, if you anger Hogger you'll end up corpse-running.
I'm looking forward to actually traveling in Azeroth, instead of mounting up on your flying mount no. 58 and flying in the directiong you like to go, and then going AFK for a cup of coffee.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
Sincerly
Kaerion
