What is your character name (in-game) and what class do you play?
My character's name is Shadowpact, and I play a warlock.
What hours do you typically play (cite time zone as well.)
There's no fixed hours on which I play but... if I had to pick a time period I would say around 7 and 11 pm (WET) during the week, on weekends it varies greatly, could be more, could be less! but usually I have more free time on weekends.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft (how long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc?)
My experience with wow.. hum. That has been somewhat of a rollercoaster! Started playing really young in 2005 or 2006 if I'm not mistaken, and played all the way through to WOTLK. Cataclysm is where it started to decline and haven't played ever since except for a few tryouts here and there whenever blizzard offered some free trials but it was never the same. And now I'm back to classic, to the nostalgia, to the nice warm cozy feeling in your gut after a hard day's work.
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild.
What immediately stood out of Nighthaven that really called to me (besides the awsome name) was the uniqueness of the guild, once I read a bit about it and talked to some of your members. There's quite the list of aspects in which you rule by which attracted me from the beginning: Its old school style, along with its will to help eachother, promoting socialization and kinship in between members, taking your time to enjoy things, the feeling of a "family" (atleast its what you make it sound like for someone coming from the outside) and the absolute need to respect eachother, not tolerating any kind of abuse, contributing to a natural maturity and well functioning of the guild. I guess there's a certain charm to the guild that called to me since I've started to know about it. Nowadays, it feels like people are formated to rush all things to the end game content and to the hardcore gaming like horses with blinders and they kind of forget to enjoy the journey... they neglect that which I consider to be the most crutial and fun part of WoW - The community and its interaction in between members. People get so focused on getting the best gears and stuff that they forget some basic rules on how to adress each other(like what happens in PUGS and you see person x or y just flaming, being rude because they died once or because someone in the group is learning something and not playing at 100%...). Don´t get me wrong, I too have a certain lust for...power (As any good warlock would if I may say so myself) and also want to enjoy all that end game content. However... I do get my priorities right. And so I think thats some of the reasons why I'd want to join Nighthaven, short story version.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
Well I like to think im a fairly balanced person, who's got a bit of everything tho I cant say any quality above another I believe. I like to take WoW in a not so serious way, I like to have my nerdy moments and geeky enthusiasms (like getting those awsome looking pauldrons off some tough killing boss) but I'm a very down to earth person and also like to talk about real life stuff, as long as people are willing to share those experiences and feel good discussing a certain topic! I confess im not really sure what to expect from the guild, tho if I had to pick something I would say just the will to help eachother, to answer any question as stupid as it may seem without judging and to greet its members when they log in and to say goodbye when they logout - yes, this last one I supose I value quite alot. This is my very first application for a guild, ever, and I didn't want to look at the other applications before writting my own, trying to keep it as mine and authentical as possible, so bear with me if it may seem a bit...odd.
Where did you hear of us?
I heard of you in an interesting way... Was in feathermoon keep in Feralas and searched on the /who list for a mage who could perhaps portal me back to the dwarven city, and so I asked and he was funny with the answer he gave me, reminding me how lucky I was that I'd just caught him before entering the instance (seems simple enough, but for me a little kindness along with some humour goes a long way!). When i met him for the portal, <Nighthaven> popped up and I got intrigued, so I started asking about the guild.
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven (if so please cite the person)?
I did speak quite a bit with Sashi and Zooca before writting the application, also got an e-mail from Elm, who heard about my intent to join the guild.
Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
I believe I got most of my questions answered by the people I mentioned, so I think theres nothing I really feel like adding right now.
