1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven? (This info is needed so we can process your application - and if you have a preferred nickname you may add it in parenthesis: e.g. Moonböw (Moon) or Stargazer (Eric)

2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
On weekdays usually from 18ST onwards, with a pause for dinner. At this moment I have language classes on Tuesday so sometimes I don't play because I'm too tired after work + class.
On weekends I am usually all day around, with some moments out to do other stuff.
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I could never play WOW when it was THE GAME at the moment except for a very few ocassions where I could sub for like a month. Can tell stories about this, but in the end, being in South America as I was made it really difficult/expensive.
I came to the NL in 2021 and started playing classic to try to be able to get all those moments I couldn't in the previous years. You had to see my face when I saw Brill for the first time and it wasn't what is it today. Amazing.
Anyway, I played Classic/TBC on Pyrewood horde but left after burning out a bit. Raided a bit on Kara, Gruul, Mag. Stopped playing for a couple of months, saw that horde side basically died and my guild transferred out, so I started playing on day one on Giantstalker, and did all T1 content of WOTLK. Problem is that the server died and it was super difficult to get people to play. After some going back and forth I liked Pyrewood alliance and decided to stay here.
I was part for a couple of days of a dutch guild as I am living in NL and want to practice/learn the language, but realized that the barrier was too big for me to feel at home, and also, that being in a guild like that would make me lose the opportunity to be a part of a community based on similar values, not just a language. I can (and am) learn dutch somewhere else.
As a side note, I've also played some retail in these months but mostly to see some stuff or unlock allied races. I can't stand the social aspect of it nowadays.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic WotLK? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
I enjoy mostly the community sense, when people is nice and help each other, and do content together for fun, not just "hi" and "ty bb".
I have to admit that I'm often trapped in the feeling that "I am so behind, I need to catch up asap!" that I don't properly enjoy my time leveling, even if it's something I like. I rushed through it and didn't enjoy that this is my first time playing alliance for so long on classic. Won't make the same mistake when I start playing an alt.
I do enjoy getting new things done, reputations, achievements, getting loot, and see my numbers go up, of course, but honestly I am not obsessed over parsers and BiS, even when at some points I rushed and sometimes I do things because they are "better" and not because I want to (Like... I am a warlock and I am thinking in leveling engineering when I have money. It doesn't feel "right" to me to be an engineer and a warlock, but you know, engineering is bis so YOU HAVE TO).
But it's something I'm fighting against it and finding out that I enjoy more just focusing on having fun with others than to be a machine that sign up do content get loot bye.
5. What are your goals in Classic WotLK, and what do you look forward to the most?
I want to have a strong community of people I can get to know a bit, and have fun together, even if it's just chatting.
I like doing content. I want to raid. But I don't want to become a machine. This is a game, the idea is to have fun.
I would like to be able to help people and be happy when they get some of their goals. To help making a safe space for others, as that space is also safe for me. See all the game has to offer at a pace I can really enjoy.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
I have a couple of reasons. The first thing that caught my attention was playing at different moments with different members and finding out that those were the times I enjoyed the most. Kind people, which really seemed to like each other and care about each other. And when playing with people outside the guild, like me, being super friendly and helpful.
As it picked my interest, I searched information about you (didn't want to bother anyone asking questions in game) and found the webpage. Read carefully, many times, not only the information about the guild, but also why other people joined. Also took my time to read the server discord and the recruiting webpage there is for guilds. And every time I read, I see how much most people is focused in playing the game in a way I did (or tried to do in the past) and not what I want now.
Nighthaven seems to be a place to find friends and a "family" online. A safe space to be yourself, to enjoy the game and not feel pressured/rushed to do anything or to play anything. A place that you can look forward to just login and enjoy the company. And that is what I want.
7. What qualities do you have to offer, and what do you expect of your guild?
I believe I am a friendly person (not extroverted I'd say) which understands that people play at different pace, that may be learning, etc. With that in mind, I think I can be someone else that make guildies feel understood, respected and that can count on me. If I can help you, I'd love to. If you are learning a new spec, dungeon, anything, I would love to encourage you and help you practice what you need, with no rush, no pressure, and definitely not rage quitting or doing comments that only serves to demoralze as you may see when trying to play with people that faces the game with a different mindset.
I don't know, in the end, I think I can be another friend you can have a laugth with when you are online.
What I expect from the guild is that it's a safe and organized place. Safe in terms that you can be yourself and don't be afraid that you won't fit high expectations. Safe meaning that you won't be laughed at for "playing bad", for not understanding something, for being from a particular country, for not having English as your mother tongue, or for having a particular disability (and I am all that). And organized in terms of that I know how hard can it be to be a guild officer, but I'd expect to have clear spaces to talk (Discord aside from the gchat), guild events, etc. I am not an organizer and as I would like to play with my guild, I would like that there's an easy way to sign to do content/stuff together.
8. Where did you hear of us?
I was lucky enough to play a couple of times with different members of the guild. They all seemed to love it (There was always someone saying it's the best guild )
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
Honestly, I don't remember names. I did some elites killing in Dragonblight and some dungeons with different people from it.
10. Is there anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
Not really, but please, feel free to ask anything you would like to know. I understand there's a process for this and that you want to ensure that the people that joins is the kind of people that you want.
