1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven? (This info is needed so we can process your application - and if you have a preferred nickname you may add it in parenthesis: e.g. Moonböw (Moon) or Stargazer (Eric)
Róísín, Human Mage level 80 (sorry for the funny characters on my name!)
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
Usually I play in the evenings - from 22 server time until late, or at the weekends a bit earlier, but mostly just in the evenings.
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I've been playing WoW since very late TBC, got to level 70 a few weeks before Wotlk original launch and not really had any breaks since, only the odd month or 2 between expanions. I've raided every tier since Naxx in WotLK (original), typically clearing heroic and dipping into mythic modes in later tiers, only fairly recently started playing classic since I've become ever more tired with retail WoW, and wanted to go back to the roots of WoW.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic WotLK? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
That the game itself is so much more immersive than what I've gotten used to on retail WoW, people actually seem to talk more while questing and dungeoning, it feels like I'm on an adventure again with like minded people around me instead of those rushing through everything.
So far I've took my time leveling this mage up, think it's been about 3months in total, but I've been doing it at a relaxed pace, I love doing dungeons along the way and as I mentioned above I've always been a raider, but in honesty I've loved also not being tied to a schedule of times when I need to show up to raid or let everyone down. On retail I've been (or still am but just been on break) a part of a guild that I've been in and raided for 7 years, for a good chunk of that was recruitment officer, and think having those "commitments" have slowly made the game less fun and more of a 2nd job. I'd really love to get back to having fun again, being more on the casual side and if the oppertunity to raid comes up jump into that now and again, but mostly what I seek is to join a good guild and make friends.
I'm from Scotland, so sometimes typing is a lot easier than understanding me, I'm also pretty quiet/shy at first until I get comfortable! I have a 13 year old son, and work as an assistant manager in retail ( ), apart from WoW I enjoy being creative, mostly painting and drawing.
5. What are your goals in Classic WotLK, and what do you look forward to the most?
I in honesty don't really have goals, I already hit the major one which was making it to level 80! But apart from that, to enjoy my time again, and would like to revisit Ulduar!
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
Well, I actually found your guild a while ago but didn't apply straight away as I seen there was so many applicants pending. I first seen your post on wow forums and thought you guys sound a bit different to the usual guild, actually caring about community and creating a homely atmosphere for members instead of grabbing whoever comes along.
I want a place I can call home, a casual place to hang out and make friends and have fun along the way and seen that you guys host events, and do other fun stuff that I never hear of much anymore. There's either raiding guilds, or social guilds that invite whoever they can get in and I think this kind of guild is a rarity. The fact the even the application is old school, and it's in keeping of how it used to be (and should still be the process to apply to a guild, as a previous recruitment officer trying to get people to apply on a website was a great filter)!
7. What qualities do you have to offer, and what do you expect of your guild?
I like to think I'm a nice person!
I'm someone who is laid-back, dedicated and likes to pitch in where I can.
I expect somewhere where I'm treated like a person and not a number
8. Where did you hear of us?
Official WoW forums
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
Sadly not! Hope that changes soon
10. Is there anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
Not really sure what to say here, just that I hope to find my place to call home. I'm not really sold on Dragonflight, so think I'd much rather be playing classic wotlk, but for me to stick around I need a good guild, it's just not the same game without one!
If you're interested in my retail character, its a hunter - Enyía on Silvermoon alliance. And this is the first mage I've ever gotten to max level, so it really does feel like I'm starting fresh and doing something new!
Thanks for reading!
