1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven? (This info is needed so we can process your application - and if you have a preferred nickname you may add it in parenthesis: e.g. Moonböw (Moon) or Stargazer (Eric)
My characters name is Iltaeyn, a level 70 priest
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
I usually play around 5pm server time, however it varies a bit because of work.
Timezone is CET (GMT+2, Copenhagen)
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
My buddies introduced me to wow back in the end of original tbc, however I mostly played priest/shaman through wotlk until around Mists of Pandaria. I played very much on a casual basis, focused more on the social aspect of the game with some pvp included.
Later i would play wotlk on private servers on and off and experienced most of the raiding content as a enhance/resto shaman, and from there fell in love with the healer role.
I've also been playing BfA-Shadowlands with my girlfriend on and off, however we both havent been that excited about it, since it feels like a very different game (both good and bad), so wotlk classic has been a dream come true for both of us
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic WotLK? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
Wotlk Classic has so far been exactly what I had been missing: which is that the world feels magical again. It really feels like the "world" of warcraft instead of just an MMO, and i think it's attributed to a lot of things. I think that the aspect of immersion has caught me this time around, seeing as I've started reading all quest texts and just taken whatever time it takes to enjoy the journey. It almost feels like playing the game again for the first time
Having played wow for a long time, I kind of got used to playing the way that other people consider fun (the meta), and it kind of took away from what i felt was the soul of the game. Now after starting the classic journey with my girlfriend I/we have the most fun in the history of playing by just enjoying the game and not adhering to "what's best" or whatever is "meta".
I love both PvE content in dungeons & casual raiding, and i hope to also find some fun PvP action.
I'm a very social and all round active guy, and one of my biggest hopes for wotlk classic is to find a tight community to socialize with and contribute to, because that's what wow really is about for me.
5. What are your goals in Classic WotLK, and what do you look forward to the most?
I'm hoping to be doing both dungeons & raids, fishing, professions, achievements, reputations and all that wotlk has to offer in a setting where the journey is the destination. My personal goal is to have fun with likeminded people, and hopefully get to try out holy priest since it seems like tons of fun!
There are many things I'm looking forward to, but if I had to pick one, it would have to be stepping into Ulduar with future guildies & friends.
I'm also looking forward to be able to play this content with my partner, whom i believe would also be a great fit for the guild (separate application will probably follow from her)
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
I am looking for a guild where I can find a permanent home. I've been looking for a guild that fits me for a long time, but haven't really found anything appealing (until now, hopefully!)
The values of Nighthaven are exactly what I'm looking for. Strong community. Friendly, helpful people. Non-toxicity. Non-Hardcore. Positive community behavior. Room for everyone. Content for the experience and not just for the end result.
But most of all: just playing the game for what's fun and doing it together with people I can bond & banter with.
7. What qualities do you have to offer, and what do you expect of your guild?
I'm a social and generally likeable guy, i love to chat and be social, and I'm all for going out of my way to provide input/help for people in my community if they need it.
I'm mindful that people come from very different backgrounds, and as such would always contribute to the community in a positive manner.
I think that in a wow community the most important thing is that people feel like they are welcome and included, especially in modern wow-days where some of the social culture can be a bit un-inclusive and even rude.
I'm also a fairly knowledgeable player in this expansion, and would love to help and support.
From the guild I expect a well moderated place according to the guilds values. I expect that officers & other authorities act according to the code of conduct and interact in an environment where guildies respect and trust each other.
I hope from the guild that there are both scheduled events but also the possibility of scheduling/supporting/creating upcoming things to the calendar. Furthermore i hope that a guild would be understanding that having jobs and family takes a lot of time, and therefore lets the guild be a place to unwind and have fun, instead of demanding clockwork regular attendance.
8. Where did you hear of us?
I saw your post on the blizzard forums about looking for members and was instantly hooked on the oldschool format of finding a guild
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
unfortunately not, but i'm hoping to meet a lot of you guys soon ^^
10. Is there anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
If nighthaven could become my guild home, i'm fairly certain that it's a community i would love to stay in for a very long time to form some real connections
I'd be more than happy to elaborate on any questions you guys might have, so don't hesitate to write me in game!
