1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven? (This info is needed so we can process your application - and to know what we can call you . )
Centaurione - I have just turned 70, as a beastmaster hunter. There is a bit of a funny story (well, not very funny, but interesting) behind the name, which I will be very happy to share.
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
I live in Wales, so my time zone is GMT and I normally play each day after work for an hour or two. When I am able to, I do enjoy playing on the weekend, but generally it depends what my wife and I do - so sometimes it is quite a bit, particularly if it is raining (which it does a lot where I live), but other times it is much less.
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
After about a year I was considering joining a guild and eventually joined a small social guild, with pretty similar values to Nighthaven. It was a safe place to play the game, with respectful people. At the start of Lich King the guild had around 12 to 14 players of similar ages and maturity to myself and we start casually raiding- just one night a week. Everyone just seemed to click together and it was never taken seriously, as we just enjoyed socialising. As it happens, we progressed rapidly and cleared normal and heroic content. It came to the stage where serious raiders were approaching to join, only to be disappointed to find out that we were a social guild.
Whilst I have carried on playing the game since, I tended to spend time pursuing achievements or mounts and pets, remaining in contact with a few of the original guildies. However, lately with the retail version of the game, the game moves forward at such a pace, it almost feels as if you need to play full-time, particularly as it is geared heavily around progressing through mythics / raids. Alongside this, the community within the game dropped off, particularly following the launch of LFG / LFR. The magic was disappearing. When Classic was relaunched, I found myself enjoying the simpler approach again and what felt like a better community. Gradually, over the last year I have moved from Retail to Classic TBC and I find that I am enjoying the game as I once did again.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic TBC? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself )
I miss the social side of WoW, a lot of the interaction seemed to disappear in recent expansions and I prefer the 'old school' approach - it takes longer, but it is more rewarding. It is for this reason that I enjoy WoW TBC Classic.
5. Which goals do you have in Classic TBC and what do you look forward to the most?
I don't really have any specific goals, but I do tend to focus on one or two things at once - whether it is levelling an alt or building reputation up. I very much enjoy going with the flow and experiencing the questing content. I enjoy the size of TBC, the experience of walking through the portal for the first time, levelling professions, farming for crafting materials, running old dungeons (and some of the newer ones), playing Alterac Valley .I find my WoW time to be the time when I relax after work.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
I have spent a while looking for a guild similar to the very first one that I joined. So much so, that I chose not to join one until I found one that ticked all of the boxes. With Nighthaven, I see the same setup that I experienced all of those years ago. The ethos of the guild was one of respect to your fellow players without forcing any one style of play - e.g. rushing through the content to the end game. It is something that we play to enjoy and to escape momentarily from real life.
One of the things that caught my attention with Nighthaven is the website. It gave a very good insight into what the guild can offer - playing together with like minded people. I like the value and equality attached to every individual joining the guild, with the effort towards building this environment.
7. Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
I am very laid back and social. I would like to think that I am a friendly person to be around. I have no expectations, but I am excited about the approach that the guild takes and playing alongside like-minded people.
8. Where did you hear of us?
I spent ages trying to find a guild that was right for me and I ultimately saw this guild recruitment post on the WoW forums, which then took me to the Nighthaven website.
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
No, but it is a small world at times, so it may be that I have 'favoured the road travelled by few' others at times.
10. Anything else you would like to add to help us know, if we´d be a good match for each other?
Hopefully, the above will give you a good sense of who I am in both real life and the game. However, I thought it would be useful to share some details of me as a person. I am in my 40s, happily married (we have been together for 20 years) and work for the NHS. As mentioned I live in Wales, where I have been most of my life, other than the obligatory backpacking adventure after University and a couple of years in the South-East of England. I think I have played on a computer since about the age of five, although it was a Spectrum 48k back then and the games were somewhat different.

I have played non-stop since the original Burning Crusade (on Azjol Nerub). I started just before the original Sunwell patch came out. Originally, I played on own for about a year or so, enjoying the levelling experience and the lore behind the storylines. Once I reached level 70, I did a lot of battlegrounds, mainly Arathi Basin. I had one of the original guidebooks for WoW Classic which used to describe how Alterac Valley battles would last for hours, so I avoided that one for quite some time. Eventually after a few hundred Arathi Basin battles (and mainly losses) I moved into Alterac Valley, which probably only lasts for about 15 minutes these days.
I greatly enjoyed playing the game during LK and Cata because of the family like approach that we had in the guild. It was never about raiding, but about playing alongside similar minded people that were in essence very real friends. We did numerous other guild events, attacking horde cities (and wiping), holiday events (particularly Brewfest), fancy dress and we had a few hunting rare drops and so on. As time moved on some players stopped playing and then Azjol Nerub was one of the last servers to be merged, so a lot of the player community/ guild transferred to other servers prior to the merger. A few of us did the same and found other social guilds, but I never really raided after that.

I am pretty social and enjoy a conversation with fellow guildies, which is probably why it has taken me so long to level up over the years. I enjoy grouping up with other guild members, either for questing, dungeons or gnome Hogger runs. I enjoy a lot of what WoW has to offer, fishing, building reputations up, trying to solo older content, battlegrounds, dungeons, levelling alts / professions - I pretty much enjoy most things in the game. I have read a few of the novels over the years and I was particularly fond of the storyline with Illidan.
