Hello, happy to put up my application.
I'm 35 now, from Germany, working family man and parent of two little boys and I hope answering these questions gives you a good impression beyond these basic facts about me.
1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village?
To be honest, I just returned to check on WoW Classic again, since TBC launched. I just created my character, called "Loxaerion", a shaman, slowly making my way to level 10 and beyond.
2. What hours do you typically play?
Hard to say... I usually play in the evening hours, around 20:00-22:00 CET but on a lazy work day, I might log in throughout the day for a bit, too, especially since working from home these days makes time management more liberal.
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft?
I used to play retail when WoW launched, mostly during the closed and open beta actually, since the game was quickly sold out at launch and downloading a whole game wasn't a thing yet. XD
I kept playing casually after TBC and Wrath launched... came back again after Cataclysm and looked into every expansion ever since, but did not really play ambitiously. I never hit level cap until Legion. I mostly came for role-playing, especially during Wrath. Haven't touched Shadowlands and don't intend to.

4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic?
I like the slow pace and the sense of accomplishment. Also, the freedom and the feeling of traveling through a huge world attracts me the most. As I implied, I'm a very slow player. Back when WoW launched, I enjoyed it mostly for the sense of going out into the world, stumble upon another player to travel with for a bit, do a quest or a dungeon together, and I generally liked the positivity that came from "adventuring together".
Some of this has been preserved in Classic, but I have to say the community overall has become quite a bit more impatient and less forgiving... some people might say toxic, although my personal experience has been relatively uneventful.
Since I'm slow, I'm not into raiding or collecting top tier gear. I enjoy doing dungeons, my favorites being Black Fathom Deeps and Maraudon and in TBC the ones in Zangarmarsh. I also still like rp, but I found a home in FFXIV for that (with a loving, open and family-like community).
Obviously, I'm hoping to find a kind and open-minded community that accepts slow players and where I can find people to help me out with content, same as I'm ready to contribute to the healthiness of this same community in return.
5. Which goals do you have in TBC and what do you look forward to the most in the expansion?
I actually don't have in-game goals that I think are worth mentioning. It would be nice to eventually hit 70, before the next expansion drops, in case it ever does. If I get my Draenei back to Outland that would already be an accomplishment for me. The journey itself is my goal.
Oddly enough, but more importantly for me, I'd like to be able to ride a Nightsaber.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven?
I have tried to find a welcoming, i.e. positive and well sustained guild, and I stumbled upon the good reputation of Nighthaven. When I started to look closer, like right now, I get the feeling that even the application process suggests that you take sustaining a well-rounded and positive community seriously. This makes me hopeful that I can get back to enjoy WoW as much as I hoped to with Classic.
7. Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
Not sure about qualities... but I can say that I'm an open-minded person, I support the LGBTQ+ community, I'm wholeheartedly against any forms of sexism, racism or discrimination, and generally I'm all about fairness, equality and equal opportunity. This mindset of acceptance and support is what I intend to bring to any place and community that I join, which doesn't mean that I talk about that all the time of course, but it's also constantly on my mind and I do get triggered whenever I see someone argue against this basic and for me self-evident understanding. Obviously, I'm not perfect and I also do make mistakes, possibly step on someone's toes, too. Please let me know if I do, so I can attempt to do better.
Beyond that, I'm not sure what I can offer... But if there ever is anything that I can contribute in-game or out of game, I'll see how I can do that best. And if I cannot contribute something, I'll also say that clearly as well, to not create any false expectations.
8. Where did you hear of us?
Actually, just browsing the Blizzard forums for guilds...
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven?
I don't think so. I have not been active on Pyrewood Village before, and I don't think we crossed paths elsewhere yet.
10. Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we'd be a good match for each other?
I feel like I already wrote a lot and I think I already covered the most important points. In case I missed something that you'd like to know, which is totally possible, please let me know.
