1. What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
Tryamon level 58 prot warrior and Albiona, hunter, currently level 31. I'll quite likely be going for the hunter in TBC.
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
Evenings most days, sometimes semi-afk during the day when working from home allows for it and sometimes also when it doesn't..
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I Started out around 6 months after the launch of vanilla and have playing on and off (mainly on) since then. I got into raiding and have typically been raider in some capacity. I lead a raiding guild in TBC and Wrath with some real life friends, but have generally been very content to be a regular member after that. I've been enjoying Mythic+ a lot since it was released in Legion with raiding taking more of a backseat even if I've usually gotten through the raid.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Eivind and I live in Oslo, Norway. I'm 39 years old and after years of studying all the things I ended up becoming a librarian. I'm currently working with IT for libraries and also trying to finish up my master's degree as a part time project. On my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends, cooking and food, music as well as a bit of gardening.
What really appeals to me about classic is a stronger RPG feel and better sense of permanence where your interactions with both the game world and other players matters more. While I've been playing retail and enjoy that too it's just a completely different game at this point. After finishing up the last patch I just felt a bit burnt out with the 3 month cycles of farming the same gear at a higher item level and completing the same dungeons over again for a new mount. I've found that no matter what type of content you do what matters in the end is the community. I enjoy trying to get through Uldaman with underleveled characters over a few beers just as much as knocking over a new raid boss
5. Which goals do you have in TBC and what do you look forward to the most in the expansion? (Provided you intend to play TBC)
I'm working on my hunter to relive my glory days in TBC! I ended up getting quite involved in theorycrafting and I'd love to try with a hunter from the start this time. TBC was a breakthrough both for classes and QoL. As a lore nerd I also really enjoyed how they followed up on the RTS series with Kael'thas, Vashj and Illidan. I love the zones and also hope both dungeons and Karazhan provides a lot of challenging and fun group play. I've usually raided and having taken a break from retail I'll likely have another go if chance presents itself in TBC.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
Nighthaven sounds like the mature, friendly guild I've been looking for in order to enjoy TBC with values that align with mine.
7. Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
I'm a laid-back and friendly and social player looking for like-minded people to play with. While I do tend to be serious about the things I do ingame, WoW is in the end a social game where who you play with matters the most. I enjoy helping others and have a fair bit of experience with TBC and the game in general.
8. Where did you hear of us?
Through Klonk
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
I got to know Nim and Klonk in vanilla where they along with other friends from their area made up a part of our first guild. Surdeig who recently joined is an RL friend.
10. Anything else you would like to add to help us know, if we´d be a good match for each other?
Thank you for reading!
