What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
Stagg - Paladin - 25 (at the time of writing).
What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
I'm in the UK so work on GMT and at the moment I kind of dabble throughout the day and also play evenings. I'm working from home as most are and my workload is very up and down. Recently I've found that playing a little WoW in those down times really helps keep my mind active, allowing me to focus on work when I do have increased workload. Outside of that I play in the evenings with my partner who is also levelling on this server.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I started playing shortly after Wrath launched and ended up semi-hardcore raiding ICC 25 man. By the time cata came out I was thoroughly burned out on that style of raiding and decided a more relaxed approach suited me. This was the best decision I ever made as I met my now partner in the guild I joined. As time went on I played more and more casually until the only raiding I ever do now is LFR in retail WoW.
What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
I absolutely love the community interaction that classic kind of forces on you. Be it grouping for quests, drive by buffing, the little social interactions. It makes the game actually feel like an MMO again as apposed to retail which you can play entirely without ever speaking or interacting with another person.
A little example of this happened at the weekend. I was questing in Westfall and got a whisper asking if I wanted to go to Deadmines as a tank. This group had been after a tank for quite a while as I had seen in general chat but as I play a DPS and have never really tanked I didn't put myself forward. I told them as much and said that I would be willing to give it a go as I was if they wanted too, they agreed. It ended up being the most fun I've had in WoW for years. We cleared the dungeon (albeit very slowly) and we had a great time throughout. I'm looking forward to having more experiences like this as I play more classic.
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
With classic so far I have gotten back the social aspect of the game out in the open world but I still sorely miss the social and community aspect of being in a guild. Nighthaven offers everything I'm looking for in a guild on paper, the social aspect, the guild events, the occasional dungeon/raid runs. I also like that you take the time to do this style of entry to the guild as in theory it stops a lot of the less than savoury types from getting into the community, the sorts of people you find in the guilds that invite every person left right and centre.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
A letter I received in Northshire once told me that as a Paladin I am among the most elite of Azeroth's protectors. I like to live by that and very much enjoy give help to others that need it. As for what i expect from the guild. I mostly just hope that I can find somewhere that I am accepted for who I am and that I can feel part of a community again.
Where did you hear of us?
I've been playing on Pyrewood Villiage for 2 weeks now and since then I've been keeping my eyes out for a potential guild. Your post on the realm forum caught my eye on day one and was a deciding factor for me starting here.
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
I don't unfortunately.
Anything else you would like to add to help us know, if we´d be a good match for each other?
I am a stereotypical British person. I like tea and lots of it so brace your teapots!
