"What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?"
My character's name is "Vaamu", which is the name I go by online. I play a Night Elf Druid. Druids are the class that i identify with the most. If there's ever a chance to play a druid in a game, i just naturally go towards it (no pun intented). Just love the class and everything around it. I am currently as of typing this, level 13. I'm trying not to rush the leveling experience, since the leveling experience is actually quite enjoyable to me.
"What hours do you typically play? (Cite time zone as well.)"
Living in Finland, my timezone is GMT+2 (summer)/GMT+3(winter). I usually log into the game at around 16:00-20:00 and tend to play around 23:00-2:00. Of course this depends on the day and my plans. I am not a morning person, so you rarely see me online in the morning or during the day. I find playing the game during the evenings really calming.
"What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)"
Me and WoW have a long 14 year old history. My journey started when I was 11 years old, and I spotted the review of "The Burning Crusade" Expansion on the local gaming magazine. Being a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings movies (thanks to my mom), and just a fantasy and RPG games in general, the review really peaked my interest. It took a while to be able to persuade my mom into buying the game for me, since it has an monthly subscription. Eventually she agreed to getting me the game.
I still remember the smell and the feeling of holding that original World of Warcraft game box, and looking at the pictures in it.
My first ever character was a Human Paladin on Darkspear server. I remember it took me ages to reach lvl 60 back in the day, but it went pretty smoothly, thanks to an Paladin friend I made during my journey.
We eventually got into the Burning Crusade together, and he was even kind enough to buy me my flying skill and my first flying mount. He also introduced me to my first ever guild.
Burning Crusade was the first time I ever got to experience raiding. Although I was really young, I still managed to have a good time doing raids with my guild, who were really accepting and understood that I wasn't as good at the game, because of my age.
I still thank them for understanding, and letting me experience some amazing moments in raids, that I still remember to this day.
In Wrath of the Lich King, i still raided with them in the beginning, but half way through the expansion, the guild disbanded, and I had to find a new guild. My paladin friend had suddenly left the game, and wasn't there to help me anymore (I still wish I could've paid him back for lending me that gold to get my flying mount).
Once in a new guild, I managed to get into raids, and experience pretty much every raid in WotLK, although I was getting carried through most of them, since I still didn't fully understand the game, and I was pretty bad (thanks guild for putting up with me even though some did complain about my heals).
Cataclysm for me, and like for many, was the first time I started to get burned out of the game, and I'm just gonna spare you the details why. This is where i took a break from the game, and returned just around WoD launch.
Warlords of Draenor was the time I actually got into raiding big time. I had just found a perfect guild for myself (Rinky Dink), and we did most of the raids in that expansion. This was actually also the first time I got to be a co-raid leader. Even though its not my favorite expansion, i still had good memories in it with this guild.
Sadly, in Legion, the guild had disbanded, and I joined a streamer guild (Strippin, itmeJP, Wowcrendor), and continued raiding through Legion with them.
When it comes to raid roles, I've usually played a healer, tried tanking here and there, and been a dps. But my preferred role has always been a healer.
I haven't tried roleplaying, but it is something I'm interested about.
"Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild.)"
My friend who is in this guild told me the community in this guild is mature and kind. And from the reading i did on the "Welcome to Nighthaven" post, this guild seems to be everything I want in a guild. I don't want to be in a guild where I'm just a "needed class" for the raids. I want to be in a guild as a part of the community, to share experiences with people, help one a another, talking about different topics and to just have a good time in a game we all love
"Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
"
I love helping others. Nothing puts me in a better mood, then being able to help someone. I'm really calm, and I treat people with respect. I usually try not to swear too much. I don't of course mind other people swearing. Just trying to keep up the good vibes
I'm a bit shy with new people at first, but I open up pretty fast.
I'm probably going to play just one character (my druid), since I don't like having alts, but I'm always ready to come and fill whatever role you want me to. I'll also happily donate things for the guild, to help guild mates out.
As for what I expect from the guild; as my friend has put it nicely: a nice home to return to in the game. Seeing guild mates greet you when you log in, having conversations in the chat, planning to do things together as a guild, sharing fun experiences in the game and in life.
An understanding place to be in the world of Azeroth.
"Where did you hear of us?"
I heard about the guild from my friend. I do also remember seeing your post on WoW Classic forums, way back.
"Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven (if so please cite the person)?"
Flilirenni. We're friends inside and outside of Azeroth
"Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?"
I'm all up to playing other games as well with people from the guild. I really wanna get into D&D someday, and I'm always up to play some tabletop games. Oh and I didn't mention this before, but I'm 24 years old. I'm also online a lot, being it in game or on Discord, so i'm often available if I'm needed.
